MaaS
You may or may not have heard of this term.
If you have heard of this term before, you may not be entirely familiar with the ins and outs of what it actually covers.
MaaS = Marketing as a Service.
Honestly, I personally find the term a little redundant, as marketing is a service and probably doesn’t need such a definition.
As a result, we have come up with the term Marketing Department as a Service (MDaaS) to more accurately explain what it is that we do.
Marketing Department as a Service, or MDaaS, refers to a partnership where a business works with a third party that operates and functions as the business’s Marketing Department.
The scope of responsibility for the Marketing Department is outlined within the partnership based on the SME’s needs and is customised to the SME’s culture.
Without an in-house marketing department, it can be incredibly difficult to gain any traction when it comes to marketing for any business. Often leading to ad-hoc attempts at various marketing activities, which makes it difficult for the business in question to achieve the desired outcomes.
Creating an entire marketing department from scratch takes significant time and resources (money!) – especially in the early stages.
Outsourcing the full functions of a marketing department can allow a business to very quickly manage this side of the business, including strategy, direction, specific projects, campaigns, and execution without the kind of delays that are typically associated with setting up and building an in-house marketing team.
MDaaS can be easily scaled up or down, depending on what is required by the business at any specific time. This is because the third party that is providing the MDaaS is the one to allocate and distribute resources, depending on the specific needs, not the business itself.
The MDaaS is staffed with a team of experts who take care of everything.
MDaaS transforms a traditional marketing department into a flexible, scalable service that aligns with the needs and priorities of a business – without the cost and time required to build and maintain a team in-house.
Key Benefits of this type of partnership:
Strategic Agility
MDaaS provides immediate access to experienced strategic marketing professionals, tools, and frameworks that can be tailored to your business’s needs.
This immediate access to experts allows you to move faster and pivot more easily (if needed) than you would be able to do if you had to go through a hiring process and then train a team of your own.
Cost Efficient – No Compromise
Traditional marketing departments can be resource intensive. But MDaaS operate on a flexible model, reducing your fixed costs and converting them to variable costs which are tied completely to genuine demand.
This give you much more control over budgets, while also giving consistent quality of delivery.
Faster Time-to-Value
Access to expert consultants and established methodologies, MDaaS minimises the dreaded learning curve.
Hiring a new staff member, even if they are great at what they do, forces that individual to go through a recruitment process, give notice to their current employer, become familiar with your team,
Focused Leadership
By outsourcing this area of your business, the leadership of your business can stay focused on decision-making and the core running of the company.
MDaaS empowers your leadership to become more effective.
